MrGripper
This Privacy Policy explains how Domanov Dev (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles your data in the Grip Strength: MrGripper app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro (the “App”) and on this website, mrgripper.com (the “Website”).
We build MrGripper with privacy as a core principle. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data — in the App or on the Website.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
The App is designed to work without collecting personal information. We do not:
- Require account creation or sign-up
- Access your contacts, messages, photos, or call history
- Track your location
- Serve advertisements or use ad-tracking frameworks
- Sell or share your data with third parties
The Website has no accounts, forms, or sign-ups. It uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure aggregate usage and understand usability, and analytics cookies are set only if you accept them — see The Website below.
2. Your Training Data Stays on Your Device
Everything you enter into the App — workouts, sets and reps, grip test results, personal records, equipment, programs, and notes — is stored locally on your device. The App is offline-first: it works fully without a connection, and your training data is never uploaded to us. We do not operate servers that store your data.
Your device backups (iCloud or computer backups) may include the App's data like any other app; those backups are controlled by you and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
3. Subscriptions and Purchases
The App is free to download, with an optional MrGripper Pro subscription. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat as a subscription management platform, which may process:
- An anonymous user identifier
- Purchase and subscription status
- Device type and OS version
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any training data you enter into the App. For details, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
4. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Consistent with the App's App Store privacy label (“Data Not Linked to You”), the App may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data and diagnostics through Apple's built-in analytics or TelemetryDeck:
- App launches and feature usage (anonymized)
- Crash logs and performance metrics
- Device type and OS version
This data cannot be linked to you personally and is used solely to improve stability and usability. Within the App itself, we do not use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, the Facebook SDK, or any invasive tracking frameworks. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are used only on the Website — see The Website below.
You can opt out of Apple Analytics at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
5. The Website
mrgripper.com is a static informational site, served exclusively over HTTPS. It has no accounts, forms, or sign-ups.
Analytics and usability measurement. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic, including pages visited, sessions, and traffic sources. We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement through heatmaps and session replays. This helps us improve usability and CTA placement. We do not use either service for advertising, and we never grant advertising or personalization storage.
Your consent controls cookies. Using Google Consent Mode and Clarity's integration with it, analytics storage is denied by default. The first time you visit, a single banner lets you Accept or Decline for both services:
- If you accept, Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies
_gaand_ga_<id>, and Microsoft Clarity may set first-party cookies including_clckand_clsk, to distinguish sessions and returning browsers. - If you decline or ignore the banner, analytics storage remains denied and neither service may set analytics cookies. Limited cookieless measurement requests may still be sent; Clarity session continuity and full replay functionality are restricted without consent.
Google Analytics is configured not to store your IP address, and we have not enabled Google Signals, cross-site advertising, or ads-related data sharing. Google acts as our data processor; see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google Analytics safeguards data. Microsoft processes Clarity data for us; Clarity masks sensitive page content by default, and recordings are available to us for up to 30 days. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Hosting. The Website is delivered through Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider. Like any web host, Cloudflare transiently processes technical connection data (such as your IP address and browser user agent) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We only see aggregated, non-identifying statistics such as total request counts.
6. Contacting Us by Email
If you email us at info@mrgripper.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry, and we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to handle it. Your message is delivered via Cloudflare Email Routing and stored in our mailbox. We do not add your address to any marketing list — we don't have one.
7. Children's Privacy
The App and Website are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
As we are based in the European Union (Latvia), and even though we collect minimal to no personal data, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — You may request confirmation of what data, if any, we hold about you.
- Right to erasure — You may delete all App data at any time by deleting the App from your device, and you may ask us to delete any email correspondence.
- Right to data portability — The App offers CSV export (a Pro feature) so you can take your training data with you.
- Right to object / withdraw consent — In the App, you can opt out of anonymous analytics through your device settings. On the Website, decline the cookie banner or use the “Manage cookie choice” button in the Website section; declining stops analytics cookies immediately.
Since the App stores data locally on your device and we do not maintain user accounts or server-side databases, most of your data is already fully under your control. To exercise any of these rights, email info@mrgripper.com.
9. Data Retention
We do not retain any personal data on our servers. All data entered into the App remains on your device until you choose to delete it, and uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Website analytics cookies are used only if you accept; their duration depends on the service and cookie, with Google Analytics cookies lasting up to two years. Aggregate analytics data is held by Google for the retention period configured in Google Analytics, and Clarity recordings are available to us for up to 30 days.
10. Security
The App follows Apple's security best practices for local data storage. The Website is served exclusively over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) enabled.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App or Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
